Desert Sublime

Desert Sublime

Desert Sublime creates a continuous running dialogue with the stunning adjacent desert at the pinnacle of Pusch Ridge Reserve, in Oro Valley, in the Santa Catalina Mountains. After seasonal summer and winter rains the contoured soil guides wildlife to pools of ephemeral water. Specimen boulders create a rhythm within the landscape, emphasizing the vivid plant material and giving nearby roots a nearly continual moist location in which to thrive. A colorful, sustainable assemblage of native Sonoran Desert plants such as Ocotillo, Globe Mallow, Chocolate Flower, and Blackfoot Daisy invite wildlife such as hummingbirds and butterflies to share this space with the owners of this distinctive residence. Enticing entertaining and gathering areas make this a one of a kind experience. This garden was an absolute must see in the Garden Conservancy Open Days Tour scheduled on October 5, 2013.

This is now a multi-award-winning project!

Desert Sublime had the great honor of being selected as Forbes Magazine, Top 10 Gardens of the Rich and Famous.
